SKW requires a licensee key to be installed and used in a given machine (PC).

License are related to the machine hardware.

SKW requires a mathematical model of the user's telescope to retrieve the wavefront and analyze its optics using defocused stars.
Models are both SKW license- and machine-dependent.

SKW includes a trial (evaluation) model available by default. This generic model allows users to perform coarse collimation and learn how to use SKW. However, the trial model is limited to coarse collimation: no information will be displayed for collimation tool scores of 6.0 or higher. Only coma aberration analysis is available.

SKW models for sale enable fine and complete collimation. These can be purchased from the IF e-store and manage via the IF portal linked to your SKG or SKW installation. Please refer to the quick software download and installation guide for details.

Notice: Models purchased before version 6.0 (or higher) were managed through manual requests (via email) and will not appear on the IF portal. However, these legacy models remain valid, even with version 6.0 or higher. The same applies to any credits. Only new models will be managed by the IF portal, which requires version 6.0 or higher.

There are two kinds of telescope mathematical models:

1. Unlimited (UNL)
Those models can be used as many time as wanted, there is no limitation.

However an UNL model can only be used with its related SKW license and on the machine for which it has been generated.

2. Pay per use (PPU)

Those models require credits to be used. Credits in the user wallet can be used against any PPU models.

However an PPU model can only be used with its related SKW license and on the machine for which it has been generated.

Notice: New PPU models are no longer available starting with version 6.0. However, reload credits can still be purchased from IF w-store for them and manage via the IF portal.
